Early George II, circa 1735, Statuary marble fireplace with carved mask and ribbon to centre tablet, the side panels of shells, scrolls and leaf foliage, the jambs with unusually inverted acanthus leaf trusses and Doric scrolls, surmounted by carved husks and berries to side blockings. The breakfront shelf carved with rope. Egg and dart carving to the cornice and aperture molding. Removed from Kirkdale Manor, Nawton, North Yorkshire.
